Destination Weddings at the Hard Rock – Cancun

The Hard Rock Cancun 

Location

This beautiful hotel is in the heart of Cancun’s hotel zone and is only 3 miles from Playa Ballenas, La Isla Shopping Mall, and Playa Delfines. It is close to Cancun’s International Airport (only 10.8 miles away), making it easy for family and friends to fly in for the nuptials. 

 

All-Inclusive 

The Hard Rock is an all-inclusive resort with luxury amenities. They have 5-star accommodations, dining at any of the six world-class restaurants, a la carte dining, never-ending cocktails, delicious snacks, pool and beachside service, daily activities, nightly live entertainment and more. It’s the perfect place for the newlyweds and their guests to kick back and enjoy themselves before and after the wedding. 

 

Modern & Stylish 

This beautiful, 12 story hotel sparkles against the golden sandy beaches and offers panoramic views of the ocean for your wedding guests. With 601 guest rooms, the Hard Rock Cancun can host both large and small destination weddings. The event designer, Colin Cowie, is known for creating stylish wedding and honeymoon packages. Working with the designer lets you rest assured knowing your wedding day details and decor are taken care of before you arrive. 

 

Activities

The Hard Rock Cancun is full of activities, keeping all of your guests busy while they are in Cancun. If you have more active wedding guests, this is the perfect place for them to attend a wedding. 

In the resort itself, there is a freestyle pool, a kids pool with waterslides, two swim-up bars, two outdoor hydro spa tubs, and two outdoor pools exclusively for the adults.

Tee off at the world-class golf courses of Cancun. The Hard Rock staff will help you confirm tee times, book lessons, and even help you with club rentals. You and your guests will be thankful you got out to enjoy the lush, green course.

 

The Rooms 

Each room in the Hard Rock Cancun allows up to four adults or two kids and two adults. Most rooms have ocean or lagoon views, giving the perfect paradise view when your guests wake up. 

 

Tying The Knot

The Hard Rock Cancun is a popular option for destination weddings and is busiest in the summer months, meaning there is a high chance it can sell out in May, June, July, and August. It’s best to plan your wedding during those months earlier to ensure you get the date you want. The hotel itself can host up to 5 weddings per day. The beach is the only ceremony location at the Hard Rock, which can impact the timing of your ceremony if the day is full of weddings. The wedding coordinator at the Hard Rock Hotel will help you plan your day, answer any questions you may have, and will typically respond within 24 hours. They will help you throughout the wedding planning process and provide you with the necessities on your wedding day, like linens, glassware, flatware, and barware. 

There are a number of ballrooms available for the reception and will be based on how many guests you have attending your wedding. From the Rock N’ Roll ballroom to the Cancun ballroom to the Caribbean ballroom and breakout room, there are a variety of beautiful ballrooms to dance the night away. 

 

Wedding Packages 

The Hard Rock Cancun offers different wedding ceremonies, letting you choose the right ceremony for your big day. They offer elopements, minimonies, micro weddings (weddings with a guest list of 50 or under), sequel weddings (allows you to book at a later date to celebrate with family and friends), or large weddings of any size. Whether you want something small and intimate or large and celebratory, the Hard Rock Cancun can host it all. The Hard Rock takes reservations up to two years in advance, letting you plan and book your wedding well in advance. 

They do not require a seven-night minimum or a specific number of rooms to be booked to receive the Complimentary Wedding Collection that they offer. The Hard Rock gives every couple complimentary room nights, free room upgrades, and private events (depending on the number of rooms) with their wedding benefits. Their all-inclusive benefits allow for unlimited a la carte dining, and they do not require reservations at any of their restaurants. 

When planning a wedding at the Hard Rock Cancun, 80% of your guests are required to stay on the property. You will be able to purchase wedding passes up to a maxim of 20% of the total number of guests attending the wedding. Guests that stay at another hotel will have to purchase a day pass for the wedding and are only guaranteed on the day of the wedding ceremony. 

 

Honeymoon Packages

Whether you want to have your wedding and honeymoon at the Hard Rock or honeymoon, the Hard Rock Cancun offers world-class amenities and extras that will create the ultimate romantic getaway. The complimentary honeymoon packages for newlyweds are courtesy of the Hard Rock Cancun. Some of those perks include breakfast in bed, a honeymoon dinner, mini cake, a jacuzzi experience (unfortunately, this is unavailable due to Covid-19 measures), sparkling house wine, and more.  

If you opt for the honeymoon package, it gets you everything from the complimentary package and more. This package includes a VIP check-in experience, personalized concierge service, and a mini cake served during breakfast or dinner at one of the world-class restaurants. If you are flying into Cancun, it includes a roundtrip airport transfer for two people (shared). But that’s not all! It also has a bottle of sparkling wine, a romantic honeymoon dinner, delicious breakfast in bed, matching honeymoon t-shirts, four chocolate-covered strawberries when you arrive, bathrobe and slippers to relax in, in-room aromatherapy, a sunset cruise for two, and a 50-minute couples massage. This honeymoon package helps you relax and spend time with your partner and costs $500.
