HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE INDUSTRY?

Once upon a time, I was a destination bride. After the wedding we always remained in contact with my travel agent. I would send her referrals anytime I met a bride who was interested in a destination wedding. I was about 6 months pregnant when she brought me into the industry. The rest is history!

My niche is all-inclusive travel.  My main focus is destination weddings.  But, I also book honeymoons and family vacations.

In my opinion there are 2 things that set me apart from other agents:

  1. I take the time to really get to know my clients. My wedding couples and I become friends. I often get pictures of wedding dresses and asked for advice on decor and photography. I am that person they can discuss wedding things with 24/7 without feeling guilty. My clients are more than just a number to me, they are my friends!
  2. I was a destination bride myself so I can relate to all the feelings my couples have. I know firsthand the stresses of choosing the perfect resort and the obligation you feel to make sure everyone has a great trip. I remember trying to find the perfect photographer and how stressful it was trying to plan a wedding from so far away. Those experiences help me to help my couples.

This is a tough question and I don’t think I have just one.  My favorite tropical destination would be Mexico! I travel there several times a year. I think the food is great, the service staff are extremely accommodating, and the people are super friendly!

My favorite adventure destination to date, is South Africa.  The food was incredible!!  We did a few safari tours at Kruger National Park and we also went shark diving while in Cape Town.  It was an amazing trip!

My favorite romance destination thus far, has been Greece!!  We did all the usual tourist attractions in Athens. Then we went to an amazing resort in Mykonos.  The property was stunning!! Last stop was in Santorini.  We stayed in a boutique hotel on the cliffs overlooking Oia.  We can’t wait to go back!

  1. Italy for sure! I want to do a family trip to Italy for at least 2 weeks, traveling to different parts of the country. I love doing intimate tours exploring the culture of a country. In Italy I would want to do a wine tour and I’ve read about a truffle hunting tour that sounds so cool!!
  2. Tahiti! Who doesn’t want to stay in an over-water bungalow?
  3. Thailand! I love Thailand’s rich culture and the preservation of their traditions.
There are so many! It is hard to choose just one because they are all so different. My first would have to be my destination wedding in Cancun! It was such an amazing experience to be away with 60 of our closest friends and family and to watch everyone get to know each other. It was the best week of my life! My second would have to be our honeymoon in Mykonos. The resort was this phenomenal boutique resort built on a mountainside. The views were incredible! Mykonos has so much to offer. Beautiful resorts, lots of great restaurants and beautiful sunsets. My third favorite would have to be the South African Safari. Being up close and personal with these majestic creatures was just incredible! I would love to do it again when my daughter is a little older. It was a beautiful experience!
