This is Their Story
Once upon a time on a gorgeous summer day at Montclair State University, Lauren MacAllister anxiously arrived with her parents and a minivan full of her belongings. Lauren had been hired to work for the recreation center and one of the perks was an early move in Day, little did she know that wasn’t the only perk, and her life would change forever.
As Lauren entered her first dorm room in Bhon hall, there sitting in the desk chair, J’koi Hailstock. Lauren was overwhelmed because when she saw him, everything changed. The two became co-workers and friends, even tried dating for a month but shhhhh that’s a story for another day. J’koi was ALWAYS there for Lauren, whether it be helping her create her schedule, an ear to hear etc.
J’koi was a world traveler and two years older, so when he graduated, he moved out to Indiana to complete his masters and embraced all things Midwest until life took him to Miami, Florida for a few years. The two always remained in contact, just a text or Instagram message away, and anytime J’koi was in town they seemed to reconnect.
When J’koi made his move back to New Jersey is when all the pieces fell into place, the two had got closer than ever. April 1st 2018 J’koi had finished a long day of helping his cousin move, he came over to Lauren’s apartment and said “so yeah you’re my girlfriend”. Lauren stared at him in disbelief and J’koi said “and no, this isn’t an April fool’s day prank”.
After that day their lives began together, they traveled the world, moved into their very own apartment, spent summers on the beach and grew deeper in love by the day. Three years later, on April 1, 2021, J’koi got down on one knee and asked for Lauren’s hand in marriage after a beautiful anniversary dinner in New York City.
And on July 30, 2022 the two will become one union and live happily ever after on the beautiful beach of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

We know there are a hundred online places to book a room. However, the couple is counting on you to book here on their website, so you are part of their group. They are planning an incredible experience for you which requires your room reservation. Ensure you are part of the group by booking into their room block here.
Please know that this resort requires all guest rooms to be booked within the couple’s room block. The hotel charges a minimum of $100 per person to attend the wedding events if you do not book one of the rooms the couple is holding. To avoid extra fees, please make sure to book here.
Important Information
Insurance
Per the Refund Policy, deposits and payments made towards your trip are non-refundable. If you choose to forgo insurance, you will be solely responsible for any and all fees if any change, cancellation, interruption, delay or additional expense occurs.
There are two insurance options for you to consider:
Option #1: CANCEL INSURANCE
By purchasing Cancel Insurance, you are protecting your vacation investment. If needed, you can cancel your trip prior to departure for any reason. Simply call us or the number in your travel documents at any time prior to the day of departure to confirm your cancellation and receive a complete refund, minus the cost of the insurance. There are no refunds when Cancel Insurance is declined. Once the Cancel Insurance policy is purchased, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. For guests sharing a room, if one person in the room accepts insurance, everyone else in the room must also have insurance. This policy offers no other protection other than the cancellation option. You will accept or decline this option on the reservation form when you book. Cancel Insurance is only available at the time of deposit. If you decline Cancel Insurance when making your initial reservation, you will not be able to add it later. If you prefer a more comprehensive insurance policy, please purchase a policy from a third-party provider such as Travel Guard or Allianz (Option #2 below).
New rooms booked after the final payment date are not eligible for Cancel Insurance.
Cancel Insurance is $199 per person.
Option #2: TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel Insurance is available and strongly recommended. If you wish to have coverage for things such as cancellations, medical, lost luggage, trip delay, interruption or evacuation, please purchase a policy directly from a third-party provider such as Travel Guard or Allianz, or one of your choice. There are several policy options for you to choose from. “Cancel for any reason” or “Cancel anytime” options may be available and usually give you more cancellation flexibility. For questions or quotes, please contact the insurance provider directly by following the links below.
Passports
A valid passport is required for all travelers, regardless of age. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after you return home. For more information regarding passports and entry requirements, please visit www.Travel.State.Gov.
Flights
Flights are not included with our room block. If we did group air, everyone would need to be on the same plane, and that just doesn’t happen with wedding groups. Please feel free to book the flights on your own. Usually the best time to book a flight is 5-6 months prior to travel when all airlines have their schedules available. We recommend using Google Flights to research fares, but then book directly with the airline you’re flying with. This will ensure you the best airfare. Fares are the same everywhere, but you’ll get much better service working with the airline instead of Orbitz, Expedia or Cheap Tickets. Remember to also check www.Southwest.com as their flights only show up on their own website.
Airport
When you book your flights, be sure you are flying into the PUNTA CANA airport, code PUJ. Transfers Round trip airport transfers (the ride between the airport and hotel) are a service we include with your room package. To confirm this service for you, we must submit a complete list of passengers and flights to the transfer company at least 45 days prior to travel. We will be sending you emails about this so you can submit your flight itinerary to us via the link. To ensure a seamless experience when traveling, please provide us with your flight itinerary as soon as you can. The transfers included will pick you up at the airport on the day we have you checking in at the resort and bring you back to the airport on the day we have you checking out. Deviations to dates and vehicle upgrades are available for an additional cost.
RSVP Deadline
As a courtesy to the couple, please RSVP by making your room deposit by December 15, 2021. This lets the couple know who is attending so they can plan their wedding events for the correct number of guests. Missed the deadline? That’s okay, it happens. Please still book your room here and we will work on confirming for the room for you, however, inventory and group rates will be subject to availability.
Deposit
The deposit for the room is $200 per room, plus the cost of Cancel Insurance if accepted.
Final Payments
All rooms must be paid in full by March 15, 2022. There is a $50 late payment penalty applied to reservations that are not paid in full by this date. If the reservation is not paid in full within 7 days of the final payment date, the reservation will automatically cancel and all payments will be forfeited.
Rates
Rates are per person and are based on the number of adults sharing the room. “Single” means 1 adult alone in a room. “Double” means 2 adults sharing a room. “Triple” is 3, and so on. The rates are also by room category. You can find descriptions on the “Resort & Rooms” tab. For example, 2 adults sharing the Caribbean Suite w/ Sofa bed for 4 nights would be $970 per adult. The total cost of this room would be $1,940.
Rooms are priced “Per Person” because the resort is all-inclusive. Child rates apply only after there are 2 paying adults in the room. For example, 1 adult and 1 child would be billed as 2 adults. Prices include private round trip transfers, hotel stay, all meals, snacks, drinks, entertainment, and taxes. Rates are valid for all guests holding a US Passport. If your passport is issued by another country other than the US, please contact us for options. We are unable to accept payments from outside the US. We are holding rooms for July 28 – August 4, 2022. You may request to stay before or after these dates. We will just need to get confirmation from the hotel before we can send your receipt.
Revisions
We understand that you may need to modify your reservation after it is booked. For this reason, there is no fee for your first revision as long as it completed prior to the final payment date. Any additional revisions will incur a $50 revision fee. Revision fees are non-refundable, even if you have insurance, and must be paid at the time of the revision. Revisions are not allowed after the Final Payment date.
